Another Fun Tuesday with Jessica!

I have 8x10 pictures of the kids all around their room, this one of Chance is still needing to be framed so I had it pinned on the cork board. Everytime Kinley and I sat in the rocking chair she would start laughing hysterically, it was weirding me out at first because I didn't know why she was laughing so hard. Yesterday when we walked by the board and she started laughing I finally figured out that she is laughing at Chance's picture. I taped it to her crib so she could have a closer look, it was the cutest thing... she loves that picture but when she rolled over and saw Chance started crying.

Can't wait til College football starts!

Beach Day in Mckinney

It was the perfect atmosphere around the house yesterday, we had the windows open, music playing and everyone was outside enjoying the weather. Tammy had made some awesome fish and homemade carrot fries for lunch, it reminded me a day at the beach. I can't wait til we can go back!

Big Cups

Today we tried grape juice in a big cup, it was very exciting to see them pick up the cup and try drinking from it. It didn't take long for Chance to figure out how to use the cup, he was very determined to fill his belly. Kinley took a few sips but enjoyed chewing on the straw more. It is amazing to watch them do things on their own!

Teeth are Sprouting!

It has been a long week! Kinley did really well when her first tooth came in and now that her second tooth has cut through the gum it has been the typical scenario everyone warned me about. Poor babygirl has a runny nose, ear aches, waking up constantly throughout the night and is chewing on everything. Chance's bottom tooth is just cutting the gum so the next couple of days I'm expecting more sleepless nights. Thank goodness there is a starbucks in walking distance from us!

A few girlfriends from grade school and high school stopped by while we were visting. It was great to see everyone and catch up. Hopefully we can come back soon and play!

We tried out the pool for the first time, it wasn't as easy as I had planned. I knew it would be a challenge introducing the pool to them at the same time with me by myself, so I strategically planned Kinley's pool time with Chance's nap time, and vice-versa.Kinley refuses to take an afternoon nap so she got more pool time. The first couple times I didn't realize how long it took to prepare for the pool, change diaper, put swimmers on, sun screen everywhere! change swimmers again... (she waits for me to change her and then poops), bathingsuit,hat, towel and by the time we get all the way in Chance wakes up. After 3 days of trying I decided dipping our toes in is a good start for now. We spent the rest of the sunny days sitting on the porch watching the cat who can barely catch it's own tail try to catch lizards. The 3 of us found it very amuzing... probably more me than them.
